Are Radial Drill Presses Worth it?

I need a drill press am trying to decide if a radial is the way to go? Anyone with experiences with one I would like to hear your pros and cons. Appreciated! :XXcompute

I've got an older Shop Fox that's pretty solid and very handy for many operations. Radials are not precision tools, but are just as good as the standard DPs I've seen in the woodworking stores lately. Nevertheless, they sure speed up DP operations.

I have a radial Shop Fox purchased from the Woodworking Source and love the radial features.

:thumbs_up Awesome - I am looking at the floor model from Northern Tool - appears to be the same as the Shop Fox. Aircraft precision is not required but I like the swing depth and tilt features - seems you agree that these presses save some set-up time.

As a new member - I am already liking the community and info sharing - I will be ready with my 2 cents!
