Need to find sawmill as close to myrtle beach as possible.
Could use pine, but eastern red cedar would be better.
Need Rough Cut Pine 2X6X8
Or Rough Cut Eastern Red Cedar 1X6X8
Anyone know of sawmill down my way?
Thanks

No sawmills here at all.
At least I can`t find any.
There was one in Conway, but it closed.
I like eastern red because it looks great varnished.
Found a guy in Whiteville that had 3000 board feet, but someone bought it all at once.
His ad is still up,but he said lumber was sold.I only need 50 1X6X8 in Cedar.
thanks

I'm not within an hour drive but if you find yourself in the Ral-Durham area I keep cedar boards on hand.

Ivey runs a mill in Burgaw, NC. It is near Wilmington, NC. It is a bit more than an hour but then again driving 2 miles in Myrtle Beach in July or August could take an hour or more.

+1 for Ivy Pridgen in Burgaw. I've been buying from him for over 5 years. Always good stuff at fair prices. He's always sawing cypress and usually has other stuff also. He also has a kiln, so you can get it off the mill or dried.

Still Looking for cedar or cypress lumber.
Thanks

Rex, Ivey Pridgen at Beaver Branch Sawmill in Burgaw, NC is your closest (and best ) source for cypress. He is about 30 minutes from Wilmington, and specializes in cypress. He can provide you with green, air dried, or kiln dried material.

He's a great sawyer and very fair person. Give him a call.
