Anybody ever tried hemp oil as a finish?

My wife's taking a refinishing commission from clients who are keen on a super-matte, penetrating finish, and they suggested hemp oil. This will be going over burned mahogany. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's used the stuff. Thanks.

It stinks to high heaven. Just like a dead skunk in the middle of the road. Other than that it’s a non drying oil.

The Hemp oil you used must of been made from cheap skunk weed ....... yeah not sure about the hype I have seen it on things.... meh

But have you used it? I have, Whitfield, if you want to experiment I’ll be glad to give you the bottle I have. I don’t plan on using it.

Yep, it was worth a try but did not measure up for me anyway
