Gonna build some outdoor storage boxes for a deck and would like to try cypress
There is an outfit NC Lumber and Supply with several locations in the state.
They look like a bulk supplier with huge inventory and good prices.
Anyone have any experience with them...ok quality and service?

I used the Columbia, SC location for cypress.

I only needed 5-7 boards and most of them were useable—no sorting.

I went to the Wendell store today...they are essentially a re-seller of factory seconds.
They did have a lot of t and g cypress on hand (call first) and plan to sell it by the palate.
With a little bit of whining on my part he agreed to open a palate and sell me 120 lnft or 1x6x6'
He selected the boards quickly and did avoid some obvious real bad boards. I don't think they want you to do the sorting.
Most are straight, some with a bow that is manageable, some with significant defects which will require some cut and paste. All in all I got 20 boards of which 13 were pretty much first run, and 7 boards which are 2/3 usable. All for $.75/linear ft. The fellow was friendly and helpful.
I would go again, but the 50mile one-way will limit how often.
