Another Folding Rule

This one was just given to me by my father, who received it from his father.
I don't recall seeing this when a child, my Dad must have kept it put away.

The only markings on it are "CONN", the numbers read from right to left, and it has the brass slide extension.

Anyone know anything about such a rule?

Probably the Chapin-Stephens Co, Pine Meadow, Connecticut, it looks like a #32 12" 4-fold boxwood rule. Notice the brass sliding extension. I'll look it up when I get home. :icon_thum

Yes, it is indeed a #32 rule, 12", 4-fold with the brass extending rule, probably made from boxwood. The rule could have been made by the Chapin-Stephens Co. Pine Meadow Conn, the Upson Nut Co. Unionville Conn., or of course Stanley in New Brittain Conn. Look at the remnants of the markings for any letters or clues for one of these mfgrs. The #32 was probably the most common 12" 4-fold style rule. The family value of your rule makes it priceless though. :icon_thum
