Another first

Finally turned a goblet. I acheived both goals I had for this turning.

1. The cup did not explode while turning.
2. The stem is smaller than the cup.

All comments will be appreciated.

Did you test it for holding liquids?

If it won't hold liquids it ain't a goblet.

Looks a lot better than the one I tried, which BTW there are no pictures of.

Looks great to me Gary! Nice work! What type of finish would you use for something like that? Butcher block oil, etc?

I have not put liquid in yet May put spare change in it. Not sure what finish I will use. I have some salad bowl finish I may put on it. Any other thoughts

Very nice job Gary. I like the style of that. If you plan to use it for it's intended purpose, food grade finish for sure. If it's only for decoration/gloating......make it sine realy purty like.
