My wife had me make a pair of plant stands for her.
Nothing fancy.:lol:
only one in the pictures but i actually made a pair of them.

Looking good, what kind of jointery? How thick of stock? And what is the plant that is in the vase?

Thats 4/4 red oak left over from the kitchen:lol:
I used 1 dowell in each joint, the centers are half lapped, the legs are angled out at 5 deg.
The plant is shikimi (dont ask me what that is in english, I dont know).
The finish is blo and shellac.

OK, that's Illicium anisatum, I often use I. parviflorum in my designs. I love the licorice smell when you crush the leaves. That's a great looking specimen, give your wife my complements.
