I like to watch the selected gallery photos that are displayed at the top of the Home page and I was amazed at one from WoodWrangler's Kitchen Remodel done in December 2008, shown here. If I have my dates correct, Jeremy left this behind in his home when he moved to Florida.

Jeremy's counter is a beautiful slab of granite supported by some custom corbels and it really looks great. But here is my version of a similar design that I did for a paying customer in October 2007 in Laurel Park, a small town just west of Hendersonville. My version is a 2" slab of bubinga mounted on Custom brackets on the stub wall with a protective layer of Lexan on the wall below the counter to safeguard against scuff marks. The Bubinga was finished with Behlen's Rockhard Tabletop Varnish -- after this picture was taken, I buffed the surface out to 1500 grit to provide a satin surface. The customer was very pleased.
