That is really awesome, I knew that this site could become something great and it is well on it's way. Now let's get all those 400 members to contribute their thoughts and I won't get any woodworking done:lol:

Seriously, thanks to everyone for their participation and a big thanks to Steve Coles who generously started this ball a rollin':eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I will second that, Steve has done us all good and by the way, it doesn't cost us anything either. He has been footing the bill since day one. Not everyone would do that. Bravo Zulu Steve

Yahoo!!!! 400 and growing, Steve. Thank you for the superb job you have done putting this site together and keeping it up and running for all of us. You're constant vigilance and guidance has ensured that this site remains a fully functional and viable place for all of us to hang out, grow, learn, and exchange ideas as we enjoy the the art of woodworking. I personally have enjoyed meeting and learning about many of the participants here and look forward to any opportunity where I can meet them in person.

To all the lurkers out there, I invite you to get involved in participating more openly with us as we exchange our thoughts and comments. There is a varying level of experience on this site and we enjoy hearing from everyone. No one on this site bites (although some have been known to SUCK from time to time:lol: ) and everyone is more then willing to offer assistance and advice when needed.

Again, congratulations to Steve on a job well done. Now Steve, back on your head, the intercom just came on and announced "Clean-up on server 3". I guess some knucklehead must have posted some questionable bytes or something.;-)

I just enjoy this site so much - if in doubt ask DH! I've learned a lot, laughed a lot, commiserated with folks, gotten to meet some members and felt like it's a place where I belong. Thanks Steve :eusa_clap and all :eusa_clap for starting the site and all your hard work and dedication in maintaining it. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Incredible Steve! You do have great insight and a special touch to guide this site to what it has become. Thanks for creating such a comfortable place for us to share. :eusa_clap

Why Not?

Trying to keep it the same as you mentioned is our goal. We don't want snippy or sarcastic comments ever. Different opinions can be, and are, discussed in a spirit of learning. We do have different forums for folks who don't want to participate in areas they know nothing about (obviously I don't do that well). Again, Steve and others have taught by example that we can be nice and learn more than we imagined from each other. We may :)lol: ) pick on each other, but it's not out of mean-ness (how do you spell that?). I hope everyone enjoys the site as much as I have and that at least some of the lurkers decide to jump in! Again, Steve - Good job:icon_thum

A great opportunity to learn, laugh, and hone our skills. Thank you Steve.
