I needed a diversion from a large project I've been working on so I doodled out this child's chalkboard designed by Ko Verzuu and made by Ado Nederl in The Netherlands, 1920s. This could be a nice, simple project for a grandchild if someone was looking for something unusual. Since chalkboards seem to be out of fashion, it would be easy enough to exchange it with a white marker board.

Altho it may be dated add some colored chalk and to a toddler it becomes a fantasy window. Just my .02 nice project btw

Let me second the comment above that for the <9 set, the chalkboard is likely higher valued than any whiteboard.
