I'm in need of a 60 Deg. Live Center for my Jet Mini Lathe model JML -1014VSI with a #2 Morse Taper. Any suggestions on a high quality center to be used for light duty work, small bowls and smallish spindles on up to 3" in diameter? Price is a consideration, but quality is my #1 concern.

Thanks,
-Aaron

When going for top quality and you want a 60º point, you can't go wrong with either Skoda or Royal brands live centers.
A middle of the road compromise consideration would be the Delta 46-490. It has interchangeable tips that are rather handy. The double row ball bearing keeps the center point in place when the cutting side loads are applied, minimizing whip and rumble on small delicate turnings.

Looks to me like the photo from the Klingspor site and the one on the Pennstateindustries site are identical.

A big thank you to everyone who suggested live centers. I will be choosing one of these after the holidays after all my finances have recovered :)

Thanks,
-Aaron
