Currently on RDU craigslist is a Unisaw for $450. It is the 110 / 220 version, and has cast iron wings. This means it will work on a 15 amp, 110 circuit. Delta only made these a couple of years. The motor can be changed out for a bigger motor, but most likely never would need to be done. To get the 110 rating, Delta down rated the motor to 1.5 HP, even though it produces 2.0 HP, the same thing they did for the contractor's saw. This is an AMERICAN made machine. I have it's twin in my shop.

Thanks:thumbs_up...If you type in Unisaw under the Raleigh Craigslist the ad for the one youre thinking of before you click on it it says 1200....Then the ad says asking 2000...Whats up with that:dontknow:...Is it a 1200 or 2000 asking price

Jim...it appears he has changed the price. The one I copied has 2000.00 in the title, it now has 1200.00 in the title, but still has 2000.00 at the bottom of the ad.

I am going to e-mail him about it.

What is his story? Is he getting out of woodworking or just thinning out the workshop?

I had E-mailed him yesterday and told him he was kinda high at 2000. Guess he took my advice and lowered it to 1200. Good luck, looks like a nice saw.

I've been thinking about putting my Unisaw up for sale too. Wife wants me to move up to a StopSaw... appears that those ads work.

Need to take photos and such. If there's someone here in the market for one, I could accelerate my plans.

It's a newer Uni, bought new from Woodworker Supply in 2004. It's barely seen any use. 50" Bessy or 36" Bessy, whichever you like.. I have both setups including both extension tables. So you pick either one.

USA made Marathon brand motor (checked it out during the Brazil motor "controversy" threads), mobile base, and both cast iron wings.

Price would be inline with craigslist guy's new updated price.
