The Board is excited to announce that we will have a new location for the 2026 Picnic / Annual Meeting.
The 2026 Picnic will be May 16, 2026.

This year, the Picnic will be at the following location:
McLeansville Regional Readiness Center
4258 Camp Burton Rd.
McLeansville, NC 27301

The site is located in the center of the State, just east of Greensboro.

This is a brand-new facility. Ribbon Cutting is scheduled for 2/11.
The facility is roughly 85,000 square feet. The assembly hall is larger than the space we were at last year.
Construction Cost was $55 million
Total parking spaces available is 458
The assembly hall space has its own Audio/Visual System
Space has been acoustically addressed, so no echo issues like last year.
Fully AIR CONDITIONED.

See some attached pictures of the space.
FYI, I am the Architect on this project and have been working on it for many years. So, I am excited that NCWW will be able to utilize it.

Look out for more information coming out over the next month or so, including our huge raffle. We are just a little of 3 months away.

They've been fixing up a lot of guard structures. Did you do the one in Rockingham that was just remodeled too?

Yep that was is mine. I think we wrapped that one up in early summer. Big issue has come up with that facility. It is named for Reidsville, which it had for years since being built in the 1980s, but is actually located in Wentworth. I think Reidsville and Wentworth has some negative history between each other. So it might go through a name change

To be fair Wentworth is the county seat but it may as well not even exist. Everything in that area has a reidsville mailing address, including the post office in spitting distance. I have no idea what they even do in the Wentworth town hall. It's not like they have a police department or anything. It mainly exists to keep reidsville from annexing the area, because the residents absolutely don't want to be annexed. Can't blame them. But heck, a large part of Caswell county also has a reidsville address despite being quite a long ways from the city limits. Go figure.

The old armory was seriously run down and needed a lot of work. We use the building for some work functions sometimes, it's so much nicer now. Good work.

Thank you. I also got to do a little woodworking on this project. The outdoor gun got refinished and the wooden handle needed to be replaced. So I took the opportunity to do a little hobby work on work time

Looks like a great place. Should be another great Picnic / Annual Meeting.

I believe that most of our members are located in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, but what about future different locations around NC the State for our Annual Meeting? JUST A SUGGESTION!

PS: I live in Randleman and retired so the location doesn't matter to me.
