Lever Cap, How Tight?

This might be a simple question, but what is a good rule of thumb for how tight the lever cap should be. I am at the beginning of the learning curve with hand tools and I am sure this has a simple ianswer. Any advice here would be appreciated. Let me ad that, wow what a difference a decent...

My drawers are too tight

I have gotten all of my drawers glued up and assembled for my dresser, and the first one I have fitted is too tight. Not by much mind you but maybe a 1/16" side to side. So, since I have hand planes, I figured I would plane them a little, but if you do that, how in the heck do you hold the...
