Paint Stripping on Wood Furniture

My wife and I just bought a dresser and a twin sleigh bed from a consignment furniture store. Does anyone know anyone that will strip the paint off of these? Or have recomendation on how to do it myself.

Stripping polyurethane?

Is there a way to strip polyurethane chemically the way paint is stripped, vs sanding?

Wire Stripping - anyone have any tricks?

Stripping paste wax from furniture

I am repairing a piece of furniture that is paste wax over tung oil (I know because I built it originally). What can I use to strip off the paste wax ? I've tried common chemicals on hand like lacquer thinner, but still get massive gumming of the sandpaper. Do I need to resort to say MEK or...
