I have recently finished a couple projects out of cypress,:eusa_clap both are finished with pure tung oil thinned with turpentine.

My wife has come up with yet another small project she just has to have.
Its a holder for cards or small pictures ect.
I made one and she said the lip in the front is too small, so I made a second one. I dont like it...

Up until now I've done all of mine by hand on a piece of paper freehand. This usually lends itself to an oversight that somehow messes up the project at hand.

Have any of you tried applying veneer trim strips to turned projects like pepper mills and bowls? I purchased a book on the subject but it turned out that it was more about turning the object than applying the veneer. Do you have to wet the strips so they will bend around the radius?:BangHead:
