Wedding Pens

Well. In one short week our second oldest daughter is getting married. While the LOML is sweating out the completion of sewing up a wedding veil, I spent a couple of hours in the shop turning a couple of pens. One of the primary wedding colors will be Kelly Green so I thought I would try out...

Latest Turnings - Corian/ Acrylics/ Wood Pens

I had the request from my daughter to provide pens to her teachers for Teacher Appreciation next month. So I figured this would give me a chance to work on a few different designs and get in some practice. The pens starting from the right side are Spalted Maple that had to be stabilized...

Pen Blanks for Pens For Veterans Or The Like

I don't do pens but have some cut-offs from various projects. Right now I have walnut and mulberry and an unkown wood. I hate throwing away wood. I'd like to give the stuff to somebody who will use it, ideally for pens for veterans or some-such. If you are part of a turning club (or not)...

My 1st pens

Well I finally took the plunge and got started in making pens this week.Only took three yrs after the misses got me my starter kit.Can't remember the woods I used.I made two display racks out of Bacoti and mah.Now all I have ta do is figure out how to stop,there fun ta make.:gar-Bi

elk horn pens questions

has anyone made pens from elk horn. how does it turn. how does it look after it is turned. does anyone have any pictures that i can see of a finished one. also were do you get the horn from.

Recent Pens - New Attempt

The vortex has taken hold. I've started trying different styles and materials. I even put TLOML initials on the acrylic for her. The wood pens, cocobola and purple heart, have the CA finish on them. That stuff stinks even with the garage door open. But having fun making shavings. Oh if...
