I have a Craftsman lawn tractor(17.5hp Briggs & Stratton motor) with a 38" deck(11 yrs old). Brand new battery as of last spring. But might be dead by now... but would certainly jump and hold a charge.
Mower stalled out on me and has sat since the spring.
It is not seized. Told it might be...
I'm buying some of Kevin Este's veneer (from this thread http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/showthread.php?t=38639).
Is anyone in the RDU area interested in consolidating their purchase(s) with mine into a single trip or shipment ?
If so, let me know. PM is fine.

We have been doing a remodeling project the past few weeks which has given me the opportunity to share my woodworking interest with some of the contractors and their sons. In the past two weeks I have had the privilege of showing three new turners how to make pens, two teenage brothers and a man...
Hi everyone, I have been thinking of hosting a shop crawl for a while now, meet some local woodworkers. Just seeing if there is any interest.
I build custom cabinets part time and my shop is in the basement of my house ( it is a walkout basement)
I'm not sure what to do during the crawl...

I have been wanting to get some of these so I went to this site http://yoyospin.com/tutorials/ This guy is the one that has the "how to" videos on the Arizona site = So I emailed...
I had to cut down a small oak that was dead. I save a few pieces from the firewood pile in case they were of any interest to the turners. They're a little small, but if anyone wants them they are free for the taking.

I also have another oak which may be of more...
Hi Everyone, I am in the process of putting together a pattern package as our own little stimulus package. I would like to offer a package at a great discount here to all of my friends and fellow scrollers. I am trying to get together at least 100 patterns of my own and am thinking of a $25...
Mike Davis and myself have been talking tonight about getting a group together in a centrally located place in our area and the thought of Winston Salem came up. What we are proposing is that a group could get together the weekend of September 13. The thirteenth is on a Saturday, two Saturdays...
Rick Cornell, Gator, and I have been talking about having another Durham lunch gathering in mid-September or so. Before deciding on a time and place we decided to make a post asking if there is any interest. Durham seems to be central to this area, Oxford, and Southern VA. We would appreciate a...
A few people asked me for information about my workbench, bench planes, planer sled, sliding circular saw table thing, and flip top cart, so here are the links to more information on those things:

In attending a private "yard sale" of tools and accessories in Salisbury, NC ?
Right now it is just an idea but the widow of my deceased friend is wanting to clear all the stuff out of the shop she does not want to keep.
I asked if she was open to a "private yard sale" to the members of...
Well, I said I was shut down for a while, but I might open the doors for students for one class this year. It will probably need to be the every other weekend format with homework as we've done in the past. I have a few projects that I need to get done, but may be able to sqeeze in a class...

Ok guys and gals I've got a question for you. I know this is super short notice, but would there be any interest in a condensed 5 day rocker class starting on July 4th and running till July 8th. My work is forcing me to use vacation for those days since they are shutting down the plant so I...
As many of you know - I've been looking for ERC saw logs, I've depleted 3 farmers around here and am about to deplete another. Farmers tend to gather up cedars when they clear property, in hopes of one day making a fence row. What typically happens is after a few years, their plans change and...
Next weekend I’m going to be milling one of the wildest looking tress I’ve seen. It’s an American Sycamore, he told me it was a box elder but I stopped by today and it’s not. The main trunk spirals up about 8’ to a multi limbed crotch and the burl curls around the main trunk in the opposite...
Anyone interested in making one of these?
Some of the rocker students have been asking about this chair as well and when I started to think about it we could do this chair in a much shorter period of time than the 6 days required for a rocker. This chair could be completed in 3 days of class...
