Finished circular stairs -- looking down

Who wants to look over their balcony and see a plain floor. Note the contrasts (mahogany treads, bright white risers and ballusters, mahogany rail, off-white textured wall, black & white medallion, grey granite flooring.

    Finished circular stairs

The frame-up looks crazy and bending a rail is no joke, the ballusters are a nightmare but when finished, it looks incredible. Makes one ask the obvious -- why aren't all stairs curved?

    Kitchen bar height table FINISHED

We decided to keep the bar top from the old house and add legs to it for a bar height table. I cut some locust posts from the farm and a special sassafras limb that the kids used to sit in when they were little. Then a couple maple saplings that had vines wrapped around as they grew to make...

    Finished project

OK, since ya'll say it's slow on here, I'll post a project I finished a while back. I would have posted earlier, but after finishing it we were camping a good bit, I forgot about it and it pales in comparison to most of the fine work I see from other members. You may recall I posted earlier...

    Finally finished......

... this seemingly simple project. I don't know why it took me so long, but it did. This frame is the result of a couple threads that I posted about ebonizing oak and sanding glass. The frame is made from red oak that I ebonized with vinegar/steel wool solution and an ebony stain. I...
