source for turquoise?

I am a relative newbie and am considering making a lamp base out of a burl. I have heard of liquid turquoise and am wondering if that would be a good idea. The burl has a number of open areas on the top and sides--one area on top may be as large as a baseball. Thanks--don

Hi to all. I enjoy the site and hope to continue to learn from it. I am retired and live near Pittsboro. Am interested but not real good. Am hoping to do more woodworking in the future--am still an amateur car racer and as long as I can do that, time for woodworking is somewhat limited...
