    Experience with smoke damage

I don't recall the details, but I had the insurance agent walk the house with me and they confirmed we had the appropriate coverage.

    Experience with smoke damage

There is a specialist coming out to assess the smoke damage and determine next steps. I sure hope there is a way they can save them. I would cry if I lost my Twilight Zone that I bought back in '97. My Toy Story is only 3 weeks old, but I had the glass off of it to do some tweaks on the...

    Experience with smoke damage

A big thank you to everyone for all of the great information. I should know more about how the insurance company wants to handle this in the next few days. At least now I can go into the conversation with a good understanding of the options and impacts. They have a specialist coming out...

    Experience with smoke damage

Thank you for the feedback. Things are kind of a blur right now, but it had something to do with the corosiveness of the smoke over time on anything metal. Also said over time that it eats the coating off of circuit boards and will cause shorts in the pathways.

    Experience with smoke damage

I am looking for other users experience with smoke damage. Our house was hit by lightning last week which started a fire in the ceiling of my basement woodshop. Kiln construction

I made a lot of mistakes with my Nyle L53 and over 6 months later, I still haven't successfully dried my first load. The instructions for intake and exhaust location, sensors, etc leave a lot to be desired and are much less clear than they appear. I do a lot of homework on projects so I don't...

    Shower in the workshop

My wood shop is in the basement and I had it plumbed for a laundry tub when the house was built. I decided not to put it in since there is another bathroom downstairs and I have the laundry room with a big sink upstairs. On the other hand I have an out building about 200 feet away that is...

    Hi from Denver, NC

I have been a member here for about a year and I thought it was time to create an introduction thread. I have been making pens for about 10 years and also turned a few bowls. Last January we had several large trees taken down that were encroaching on the house and decide to buy a mill to make...

    Mentor/Classes/Hang Out - Southern Pines

For me, there isn't anything between "Resources" and "Social Media". It may be because I have not had many posts. On the pinball forum I frequent, several sections do not appear until you have a minimum number of posts. Thank you very much for the reply.

I don't see the Members link. I would be interested in finding other people in my area (Denver, NC) as well.

What kind of kiln are you building? I'm a little south of you in Denver, NC and am in the process of building a Nyle L53 kiln.
