    Wood ID...Probably Oak

    Definitely gum, mostly sap wood. Probably make some nice bowls! I'd peel that bark off with a draw knife, or old chisel. Then keep them inside to dry.

    I cut these Ambrosia maple slabs back in the fall. They are currently air dring under my shed. I am planning a solar kiln build as soon as the weather breaks. Hopefully I'll have some good lumber to sell by this summer. Thanks Corey
