I've had a class or two in woodworking many years ago. Then I worked part time at The Boardsmith in Archdale, NC for David Smith making end grain butcher block cutting boards.
I had wanted a career in woodworking at that time, but the stars weren't in my favor.
During the last decade I made a few things...vardos and a medieval pavilion with furniture to be specific. https://vikingvardo.wordpress.com/
I don't have a wood shop but would like to be able to make my next vardo and future projects with better skills using professional tools.
I'm hoping to apprentice (paid or unpaid) part-time while I doordash for income. (In exchange for use of the equipment to build my vardo).
