I've only been woodworking for about six years now, with large periods of inactivity to have a kid (ok, my wife did that, but I helped). I mainly use hand tools not through any sense of purity but because my workshop's in a spare bedroom. I appreciate the speed of dimensioning with machines, and the skill of joinery by hand.
