I made this mallet from a 1-1/4" Galvanized Plumbers Tee. Use a flat or triangle file to make a groove the the threads. Turn a tenon on a three blocks of wood; one for the handle and two for the faces. Using channel locks, turn the tenon into the grooved threads to cut threads into the wood.
