Bird's Eye Maple Plate with Walnut Rim

Detail of the Walnut Rim Segments and all of my geometry marks all over the plate blank. I have an older friend who likes to barter raw wood and trade stories. He get's much of his raw wood from going to flea markets and auctions. It took some haggling, but he eventually let me have two 12x1 Bird's Eye Maple rounds.
